Festivities and ceremonies organized and participated by the Misericórdia of Vila Real
Being an Institution with a great weight in the life of local society, the Misericórdia of Vila Real, in the secular festivities in which it participated, but especially in the religious ceremonies that it organized, with particular emphasis on the Holy Week, functioned as a unifying element of the various social strata, following the words of the Gospel and having the figure of Christ as the first and last instance of the life of the mankind.
