Juvenile Home (1992)
In May 1988, the Board of the Misericórdia approved the construction project of a Professional School/Juvenile Home. Located in the Petisqueira Estate, in a building constructed for that purpose, the Juvenile Home began operating in January 4, 1992, welcoming a total of 60 youngsters.
It functioned in three new buildings that featured a bold architecture for the time. However, the great distance between those buildings was a serious disadvantage, and in 2004 the Juvenile Home was dissolved.
