Book launch: The Misericórdia of Vila Real and the Misericórdias in the Portuguese-speaking World
On 21 July 2011, it took place the launch session of the book The Misericórdia of Vila Real and the Misericórdias in the Portuguese-speaking World, coordinated by Professor Natália Marinho Ferreira-Alves. This work, published under the project "The Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Vila Real. History and Heritage", that CEPESE – Research Centre for the Study of Population, Economy and Society developed for the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila Real, brings together, on over 700 pages, dozens of studies on the subject that gives title to the book, carried out by renowned Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian experts, and that were previously presented at the International Seminar with the same name.
